In the lead-up to Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9, former winner Kaushal Manda's recent remarks regarding life after the reality show have generated a lot of internet debate. Famous for winning the title in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2, Kaushal has now shared his candid thoughts on what transpired following his victory, and it's not a happy ending.
While host Nani's words of encouragement on the show gave him optimism, Kaushal revealed in an interview that the reality was very different. "I had hoped that after Bigg Boss, things would improve. I didn't think it would make much of an impact at first. However, I was optimistic that I would receive film offers because of Nani's popularity," he recounted.
But reality didn't match his aspirations. Kaushal disclosed that despite his fame, he never received any offers from producers, and his own attempts to approach well-known directors like Puri Jagannadh and Sukumar failed to land any parts. He said, "They respected me, but I didn't get any opportunities."
Kaushal, who subsequently starred in Kannappa, made a subtle point on the promotional stage of the movie: winning Bigg Boss doesn't necessarily mean that one's career will alter. He underlined that while it is a platform, it is not a guarantee.
The ninth season of Bigg Boss Telugu, which will be hosted by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, is scheduled to debut in early September. At this time, the grand launch preparations are well underway.
